Storage Tips
Looking for storage tips for your harvest of fresh (or dried) mushrooms? See our guide here.
Liquid Cultures
Liquid culture syringes can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 months. Pink Oyster liquid culture syringes must be stored at room temperature and out of direct sunlight.
Grow Bags
Sterilized substrate grow bags, or injection port bags, can be stored for several months if stored at room temperature and out of direct sunlight. It is recommended to let your grow bag sit for 7-10 days to ensure there are no issues with your substrate.
Do not open your sealed grow bag until you’re ready to use it, to minimize the risk of contamination. If you do find an issue, contact us and we will be happy to assist.
Starter Grain Jars
Sterilized starter grain bags or jars can be stored in a dry, cool location for up to 3 months. To minimize the risk of contamination, do not open your starter grain jar until you are ready to use it.
Starter grain jars will not need to be rehydrated or sterilized a second time before use.
