Chaga Liquid Culture
$18.99
In nature, Chaga is found in the colder regions of the Northern Hemisphere growing on birch trees. It is commonly referred to as a mushroom, when in fact it is a type of fungus known as a “woody canker”. The exterior is black in color due to the high concentration of melanin and is bright burnt orange on the interior. In fact, it is not the fruiting body of the fungus, but a mass of mycelium.
Mushroom Liquid Culture Syringe Kit contents:
- 1 generously filled 10cc liquid culture syringe
- Isopropyl alcohol swab
- 1.5” 18-gauge sterile dispensing needle
How to Grow Chaga:
Please note: Chaga requires very specific outdoor conditions to grow (e.g. healthy, living birch trees), and can take years (6-9 years on average!) but for experienced growers, efforts and patience can really pay off if you happen to live in the right climate. Keep reading below and in our Grow Guide.

We use HEPA air filtration to maintain a positively pressurized “clean room” environment. All liquid culture syringe production takes place in our clean-room laboratories in front of laminar flow hoods, using laboratory-grade borosilicate glassware, surgical steel tools, and medical-grade syringes and tip caps. Our equipment, tools, and work surfaces are kept clean using both UVC and autoclave
sterilization.
Mushroom Strain Origin
While referred to as a mushroom and actually a parasitic fungus, which feeds on birch trees, Chaga is native to the forests of Europe, Russia, North America and cold northern climates in general, where birch is the primary tree species.
Chaga in the Wild
Wild birch trees in the northern hemisphere are the host to the Chaga fungus. The exterior is black in color due to the high concentration of melanin and is bright burnt orange on the interior. In fact, it is not the fruiting body of the fungus, but a mass of mycelium.
Grow Difficulty
Chaga medicinal mushrooms are suitable for advanced growers due to the length of time Chaga requires to mature.
Our Chaga medicinal liquid culture syringes are guaranteed to be free of contamination and contain healthy live mycelium.
We’ve got the best shiitake.
Our team at Good Mushroom has a passion to provide the highest quality mushroom genetics through liquid culture syringes, consistent and reliable cultivation materials and supplies.
