A Reishi Smoothie is a phenomenal start to any day, or any meal! Packed with berries, bananas, cacao, spirulina, and chia seeds, this powerhouse of a smoothie is delicious, as well as add so many potential health benefits in one glass.

Benefits of Reishi Mushrooms

Reishi mushrooms are packed with a number of beneficial molecules including triterpenoids, polysaccharides, and peptidoglycans which studies have shown great potential to boost the immune system, provide anti-cancer properties, assist with fatigue and depression, heart health, blood sugar, and improve sleep. Reishi is much more commonly used as a supplement in teas, powders, and capsules and have been for many years, however there are some culinary options available that are delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 1 cup of coconut milk
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1-2 tsp spirulina powder (or chlorella)
  • 2 tbsp raw cacao powder (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp of cinnamon (optional)
  • 3-5 droppers Reishi extract tincture or 2 tbsp of Reshi powder

Directions

  • Place the liquids, the banana, blueberries, and raspberries into a high-speed blender and blend on high for a few seconds.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients and blend on high until smooth and creamy. Pour into a mason jar or a bowl and top with berries, cacao nibs, nuts, or seeds.
