I built Good Mushroom for the person who feels a pull toward something they can’t quite name yet — an interest, a curiosity, an unexplored side of themselves that’s starting to make itself known. I know that feeling. It has led me to some unexpected places. I wouldn’t change a single one.
I’m Bonnie. I came to this world through an unlikely door — a conversation, a spark of curiosity, a business idea that made absolutely no logical sense for someone like me at the time. I followed it anyway, mostly because something in me wouldn’t let it go. (This is either wisdom or stubbornness. Possibly both.) What grew from that decision was more than a business. It was the beginning of understanding that our interests are not random. They are not frivolous. They are the most intelligent signals we have.
The mushroom is our symbol — but what it points to is bigger than any single plant, practice, or path. Beneath the surface of a healthy forest, mycelium networks run for miles — invisible threads of intelligence, connection, and exchange that make growth possible long before anything appears above ground. That’s what we’re really talking about here. The unseen work. The underground becoming. The thing that’s been quietly growing in you, waiting for the right conditions to emerge. Mushrooms are what brought us here. Honestly, we’re still a little surprised by that — and completely delighted. Some days that means going deep. Some days it means getting your hands in the dirt and seeing what grows. We think there’s wisdom in both.

My lions mane mycelium is looking happy as can be in the starter bag.
Culture did phenomenally, all agar tests ran clean, currently colonizing in jars over brown rice and is doing great. Love these genetics, very aggressive Mycelial growth.

The turkey tail mycelium populated quickly and was very robust. After about 10 days I moved to wood block using oak and soy hull. I am very happy how well it did with the grain spawn and had no contamination issues.
